The customer wanted to improve the user experience with an AR application that allows users to scan with a smartphone camera and view the character in the AR movie/movie in a simple way.
HBLAB's Solutions
HBLAB's AR team developed an AR camera app that allows users to scan markers placed at various locations in the city, and then high quality movies/photos/videos corresponding will display on their smartphones.
The app also has video and photo capture functions, so users can record videos and post them on social platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram to share their enjoyable experiences.
RESULTS
Camera AR app attracted 35,000 viewers during a livestream on release day. The application also reached the top trending on Twitter Japan.
Till May 2019, this app has ranked Top 30 Free Apps and Top 5 Art & Design categories on Japan App Store.
