About Retail Tech Japan 2026

Retail Tech Japan is an annual event organized by Nikkei and is regarded as one of the largest events in Japan in the field of information technology for the retail and logistics industries. This year’s event is held under the theme of “Community Building and Store Development,” with two core programs running in parallel: a seminar program and an exhibition area.

RETAIL TECH JAPAN 2026

The seminar program runs from March 4 to March 7 and is held in both online and offline formats. It features participation from major organizations and corporations including Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, GS1 Japan, Lawson, and NTT Data.

The exhibition area runs from March 3 to March 6 at Tokyo Big Sight, bringing together a broad range of leading companies in system and software development capable of driving business model transformation in the retail and distribution sectors. The exhibition offers comprehensive coverage of solutions addressing labor shortages, AI and data utilization, e-commerce, marketing, payment systems, and retail logistics.
