During Telemax’s visit to HBLAB and the signing of the MOU, Telemax and HBLAB engineers took part in AI Hackathon 2026 on April 1 and 2. Three cross functional teams were formed and entered a 24 hour challenge to build a system from scratch under a special requirement: more than 90 percent of the code had to be generated by AI.
THE CHALLENGE
The task was to develop a car rental price prediction system for a rental car booking platform. The solution uses AI to analyze factors such as timing, weather, events, market demand, and other variables in order to recommend optimal future pricing, helping businesses maximize vehicle utilization efficiency and strengthen their competitive advantage.
BUILDING A SYSTEM IN 24 HOURS
Within the limited timeframe, the teams continuously brainstormed, tested, and optimized their solutions. After just 24 hours, the teams had built products that were close to fully completed at the highest level, including backend, frontend, and an AI prediction model operating in sync.

The implementation process was also carried out in a structured manner, from problem analysis and business clarification to solution design and system development. Notably, one team built as much as 99 percent of its code based on AI, demonstrating a very thorough application of AI in development.

PRACTICAL VALUE BEYOND COMPETITION
More than a competition, AI Hackathon 2026 delivered many practical values:
- An opportunity for exchange and learning between HBLAB and Telemax, while further strengthening the partnership between the two companies
- Enhancement of team capabilities to meet new market demands
- A chance for participants to challenge themselves, go beyond their limits, discover their potential, and upgrade their AI capabilities
- A foundation for turning AI into a competitive advantage in HBLAB’s projects

BUILDING HBLAB’S INTERNAL AI ECOSYSTEM
Alongside improving team capabilities, HBLAB is also gradually launching internal AI tools to ensure project data security, optimize workflows, and accelerate delivery speed for clients. This is an important step in building HBLAB’s own AI ecosystem, one that is both flexible in application and able to meet strict security requirements.
